Information Sessions

We want to share information about the project, explain any potential impacts, hear your thoughts, answer your questions, and keep you updated every step of the way.

Our Project team enjoyed meeting with local community members during community drop-in sessions at Dawes Hall in Thangool on 25 & 26 November. The sessions provided valuable opportunities to connect with local residents, landowners, and stakeholders to discuss the Project and learn more about local needs and priorities.

Key Highlights:

  • Open Dialogue: We spoke with community members who raised questions about project impacts including visual impact, water contamination and supply, dust management, and decommissioning processes. Our team provided detailed information and emphasized OX2’s commitment to transparency and keeping community members informed as the project progresses.
  • Local Connections: Conversations included representatives from local businesses. Many attendees expressed interest in procurement opportunities and shared positive experiences with renewable energy developments in the region.
  • Community Interests: Several participants highlighted their involvement in local community groups. Sponsorship opportunities were discussed for local events.
  • Council and Regional Leaders:  Other attendees included Councillors and members of environmental groups and those with experience in mine rehabilitation, who appreciated learning that wind farm rehabilitation will follow similar rigorous standards.

Next Steps: We will continue to engage with stakeholders, provide updates on environmental and technical assessments, and explore opportunities to support local events and initiatives. Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their perspectives and help shape the future of renewable energy in the region. Further community information sessions will be held locally in 2026.

We value your input and encourage you to complete the registration form at the link below to receive project updates, including the dates and locations of future engagement activities, directly via email.
