Proud to Support Women, Community & Connection

OX2 was delighted to sponsor Thangool State School P&C’s “Disco Divas!” fundraising event in celebration of International Women’s Day 2026.

This fantastic event brought together women from rural communities across central Queensland for an evening of fun, friendship and fabulous dancing, all while raising funds for resources that directly support local students and the school community. It was inspiring to see such a positive, community‑driven initiative driving such meaningful impact. We’re proud to have supported the event as part of our Kariboe Wind Farm Project.

The event was a resounding success, not only welcoming 200 attendees for an unforgettable evening, but also raising more than $33,300 in profit, all of which will go directly towards supporting Thangool State School and its students.

“As a company, OX2 Australia is committed to diversity, inclusion and equality. We’re proud of the strong female representation across our team and believe that empowered women help build stronger communities. Supporting initiatives like Disco Divas aligns perfectly with our values. Congratulations to the P&C - raising more than $33,000 for Thangool State School is a remarkable achievement and a testament to what can be accomplished when communities come together with a shared purpose."

In addition to sponsoring the event, we wanted to do something extra special for the ladies in attendance and support local female‑owned business at the same time. We partnered with Melissa from White Oleander Candles, who came highly recommended for their beautifully hand‑poured products. Melissa created 200 stunning scented "leather and lucern" candles for the occasion with just a few weeks’ notice. The contribution added a thoughtful, locally made touch to the evening.

A huge thank you to everyone who organised, attended and lit up the dancefloor, what a fantastic celebration of community and connection!
